Products

We have developed a range of products for partners, which provide examples of how our core technology is used by partners in real-life applications. From home and building energy management, to peer-to-peer trading and financed solar packages, our technology can be applied to a host of business needs.

Tribe - smart energy management for the home

Tribe is a smart energy management system, which monitors and optimises the generation, storage and consumption of electricity within the home to reduce energy costs. Through its market-leading compatibility with a wide range of connected devices – including solar inverters, batteries and electric car chargers – Tribe gives homeowners the ability to monitor and optimise energy use, and the comfort in being able to control and schedule devices when required.

The Tribe Hub connects to the distribution board and a wide range of devices within the home. By learning consumption patterns, and checking live tariff and weather information, the Hub ensures all connected devices maximise use of clean, low cost electricity. The Tribe App provides visibility of the home’s generation, storage and consumption of electricity in real time. Users can control and schedule devices remotely, and track energy bill savings.

Sunplug - financed solar kit under PPA

Sunplug was an innovative solar and battery proposition, which we launched with a leading Utility company in the UK in 2017. Sunplug enabled homeowners to take advantage of a solar and battery system and our intelligent energy management system at no upfront cost. We financed the cost of the technologies and, in return, are paid a low, fixed price for the electricity that is both generated by the system and consumed within the home.

Sunplug has made renewable energy more accessible to people hoping to save money and minimise their carbon footprint. Our home energy management system optimises the solar and battery system to maximise self-consumption of the solar being generated and reduce reliance on the grid.

Peer-to-Peer - energy trading within a community

With a leading Utility partner in the UK, we designed and developed a cloud platform consisting of a virtual community of energy ‘prosumers’ – homes generating their own electricity from solar panels – and energy consumers – ordinary homes without solar panels. The platform enabled energy prosumers to ‘share’ and sell their excess solar energy with their virtual neighbours, giving ordinary energy consumers access to low-cost, green electricity.

While the cloud platform enabled peer-to-peer energy trading within the virtual community, members were also given access to an app through which they could exchange spare, excess solar energy with other community members in return for a credit to their monthly utility bill. The platform incorporated blockchain technology to manage the trades while our Utility partner operated the billing process.
