Technology

We have developed a technology stack that can be used in abstract ways across a wide range of sectors and industries. Our suite of energy management and fleet management technology modules can be tailored and adapted to partners’ needs.

Home Energy Management

Smart energy management technology for the home consisting of an advanced gateway and app. The gateway and app work together via the cloud to monitor, control and optimise the generation, storage and consumption of electricity within the home.

Our Home Energy Management technology is designed to be the hub of the connected home. The gateway connects to the distribution board and a wide range of devices within the property. By learning consumption patterns, and checking live tariff and weather information, the gateway uses in-built AI to ensure all connected devices maximise use of clean, low cost electricity. The app provides visibility of generation, storage and consumption of electricity in real time. Through the app users can control and schedule devices remotely, and track energy bill savings.

How does home energy management work?

Our Tribe Hub acts as the smart assistant for building energy management. The hub connects to the solar inverter and can measure several key loads directly at the distribution board. It connects wirelessly to a wide range of appliances and energy consuming equipment such as immersion heaters and air conditioning. In addition, the Hub constantly receives the latest weather and tariff data from the cloud and can be remotely updated (OTA) to add improvements and new features.

Building Energy Management

Professional building energy management technology comprising a gateway and platform for business customers to monitor, manage and analyse energy flows within commercial and industrial premises.

Our Building Energy Management System (BEMS) is designed to provide predictive maintenance and energy monitoring and optimisation for large buildings. Using meters, sensors and connectors, our BEMS solution monitors and analyses data to identify energy efficiency, control and cost saving opportunities within a wide range of commercial and industrial real estate.

Virtual Power Plant

Our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technology enables energy asset owners to control assets and operate their portfolio as a VPP. The technology provides visibility and control of dispatchable energy assets, and enables assets incorporated into a VPP to deliver flexibility and ancillary services to utilities and network operators – while providing a return to the asset owners.

Our VPP technology enables aggregation of flexible energy assets – generation, storage, and other demand-side resources – for aggregators, utilities and network operators to use in the wholesale energy markets.

Fleet Management

Our proprietary fleet management platform provides monitoring and asset management, and fleet aggregation and control capabilities for distributed energy assets. Our platform communicates via the cloud with energy assets installed at the grid edge, which are monitored and controlled locally via our gateway solution.

Our fleet management technology is designed to unlock value from monitoring, aggregating and controlling fleets of distributed energy assets for flexibility and ancillary services. Our platform can be used to manage portfolios of energy assets for specific demand response programs on behalf of the asset owner, utility or network operator.

Internet of Things

Our proprietary Internet of Things (IoT) technology can be applied to solutions across a wide range of sectors and industries. By using our technology to unlock IoT-capability in devices at the grid edge, customers have the ability to remotely monitor and control the behaviour of devices to create new actionable insights, efficiencies and revenue opportunities. Our powerful and versatile technology incorporates the IoT gateway and cloud platform.
